The DX7440 has a much larger LCD screen (2.2") which will make menu navigation much easier than its counterpart. The megapixel count is still 4.0 and the optical zoom is the same at 4x, but the digital zoom has gone up from 3.8x to 4x. The DX7440 also offers 16 scene modes, 5 colour modes plus movie mode (all listed below) so this camera offers lots of creative possibilities.

Review
Novices will find the DX7440 easy to use - large LCD display, scene modes, etc. Experienced photographers will appreciate the manual modes and the very fast 0.2 seconds click-to-capture. Another big plus is the 4x optical zoom. This camera is fantastic! Source: http://www.digital-cameras.info/
