The Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W50 is basically a point and shoot camera with a 6 MP CCD sensor and a 3X optical zoom lenses. It also features a 2.5-inch LCD and weighs just about 6.8-ounces. There are few manual controls and one can use options like multipattern, center, and spot metering and the camera chooses SS from a range of a full second and 1/2,000 second, and aperture values between f/2.8 to f/5.2 (wide) and f/7 to f/13 (telephoto).Shooting Programs include Snow, Beach, Landscape, Portrait mode, Twilight mode, Twilight portrait and it has a plethora of scene modes including and white balance settings like Flash, Cloudy, Daylight, Fluorescent and Incandescent.

Review

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W50 which sports a very trendy design and is extremely compact. The image quality is quite decent and the camera is very easy to operate. However like most mid range camera this one also suffers from image noise and doesn’t perform in low light conditions.
