External hard drive enclosures come in all sorts of varieties and many manufacturers try to attract your attention by tossing in features like auto-backup software and so forth. Not these guys. The EZ Swap EX 2.5 Inch SATA Hard Drive Enclosure from VANTEC is designed for ease of use and versatility. Based on this review, it passes with flying colors.

Specifications

On the one hand, it has regular USB 2.0 and eSATA connections for uploading and downloading data to and from your computer. On the other hand, it also comes with a unique caddy "to allow you to 'dock' it into your desktop tower with ease." Sounds pretty handy. It'll mount into 5.25" bays and 3.5" bays. In this way, it functions both as an internal and external hard drive enclosure.

In the end, Tyler Ingram of Futurelooks "definitely recommends this product for anyone that is looking for a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive enclosure solution that wants the portability of USB without sacrificing speed when you get home thanks to the SATA interface." Check out the full review here.
