The new 40" FWD-40LX1 Sony LCD TV display delivers a 1366 x 768 resolution and color reproduction of over one billion colors for outstanding image quality for HDTV video or PC graphics up to 1600 x 1200 resolution. With a 16 millisecond response time, video content appears smooth and crystal clear. With networking options that allow for the delivery of high quality video content and advanced panel performance with LCD TV technology, the FWD-40LX1 is a perfect option for a wide range of display needs. The FWD-40LX1 incorporates the Sony WEGA Engine system, a digital processing system that reduces the amount of analog to digital conversions, minimizing video artifacts that can occur during the conversion. Also included is Sony's Block Noise Smoother feature to minimize video noise that can sometimes be found in 480p sources from DVD players and satellite receivers that process MPEG2 signals. The new Sony LCD TV features multiple component inputs, and the connections are hidden in a rear panel with cable covers and routing for easy installation and overall clean look.

With the Sony original I/P (Interlace/Progressive) conversion technology and 16ms response time, you will see precise and smooth images throughout the screen, and the anti-reflection coating on the screen reduces light reflection for clear, high contrast pictures.

Multiple Inputs and a High Performance Scan Converter
With input connectors for composite, S-video (Y/C), RGB/component signals, as well as a newly-added DVI digital input with HCDP compatibility, you can display your visuals from a wide variety of signal sources, ranging from standard video to HDTV, DTV and computer signals up to 1600 x 1200. A built-in high performance scan converter ensures optimum image quality with exact pixel sampling from the original input source, providing high quality pixel-by-pixel image reproduction.
